Fall Purchasing/Operations Intern

Radarsign | Kennesaw, GA (On-site)Type: Part-time / Full-time, Fall Semester Internship Department: Operations

About Radarsign

Since 2004, Radarsign has been the pioneer and leading manufacturer of armored radar speed signs, delivering MUTCD-compliant traffic-calming and traffic safety solutions to municipalities, schools, law enforcement agencies, DOTs, HOAs, and military installations across the U.S. and Canada. Engineered and manufactured in the USA at our Marietta, Georgia headquarters, our durable, ecological, solar- and battery-powered signs help reduce speeding and make roads safer in communities nationwide.

We're a growing manufacturer with a hands-on culture, and we're looking for a motivated Fall Operations Intern to join our team and get real-world experience in how a manufacturing and logistics operation runs day to day.

About the Role

As our Fall Operations Intern, you'll work directly with our Operations team to support the processes that keep production, inventory, and order fulfillment running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or business management to gain hands-on experience at a company that designs and builds physical products from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and stockroom organization
  • Analyze operational data (production output, inventory levels, lead times) and help identify opportunities for efficiency
  • Support sourcing activities, including identifying and vetting potential vendors
  • Help prepare and compare vendor quotations
  • Assist with placing and tracking purchase orders
  • Coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) with suppliers and internal quality stakeholders
  • Support NetSuite MRP integration efforts, helping ensure accurate material and inventory data
  • Support process documentation and help maintain standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams on cross-functional projects
  • Take on ad hoc projects as assigned by the Operations team

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic data analysis (Excel proficiency a plus)
  • Clear communicator who works well in a team environment
  • Interest in manufacturing, logistics, or hands-on operational work
  • Ability to commit to a part-time or full-time schedule for the fall semester
  • No prior professional experience required — we're looking for curiosity and a strong work ethic

Why Intern at Radarsign

  • Hands-on experience with a real manufacturing and operations team, not just busywork
  • Exposure to the full lifecycle of a physical product — from production to the customer's doorstep
  • Mentorship from experienced operations and business leaders
  • A close-knit, collaborative team environment
  • The chance to see your contributions have a direct impact on the business
