Farmers Market and Farm Crew Member

Learn where your food and flowers come from, and help us bring them to the community!

Titus Farms is a small family veggie and flower farm about 30 minutes south of Lansing/East Lansing/Okemos, Michigan, and we're looking for at least two dependable people to join our team.

Our biggest need is help at the local farmers markets on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, with additional opportunities for farm work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays depending on availability and interest.

This is a great job for someone who enjoys being active, working with people, learning new things, and doing work where you can see your accomplishments at the end of the day.

Most of the position involves helping us prepare for and work at farmers markets, including loading and unloading, setting up displays, selling vegetables and flowers, helping customers, restocking, and packing up at the end of the market. Farm work may also include harvesting, washing, packing produce, preparing CSA shares, and other seasonal tasks.

No agricultural experience is necessary. We'll teach you what you need to know.

We offer flexible scheduling, and anywhere from 8–25 hours per week can work well for us. Full-time hours may also be available for the right person. Even one consistent day per week can be valuable, especially if you are available on Wednesdays or Saturdays.

Starting pay is $15 per hour, with pay up to $18 per hour for the right candidate based on experience, responsibility, and fit. Employees also frequently have access to farm-grown vegetables, flowers, and eggs to take home.

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • Reliable and honest.
  • Observant and able to notice what needs to be done.
  • Helpful and willing to step in where needed.
  • Resilient and able to keep going when work is busy, hot, tiring, muddy, or unpredictable.
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, carrying, standing, loading, and unloading.
  • Able to learn quickly, adapt, and use good judgment.
  • Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers.
  • Attentive to details and able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Spanish language skills are a plus, but are not required.

A driver's license and reliable transportation are strongly preferred. Some market locations may be accessible by bike from East Lansing, Okemos, or Lansing, but transportation to the farm is necessary for farm shifts.
