About Us
Odyssey Painting & Construction is a growing company serving the Kansas City area. We specialize in residential painting, wood rot repair, siding repair, and related exterior carpentry services. We are working to grow our presence on social media by creating helpful, behind-the-scenes, and educational video content that shows what we do and how we do it.

Position Overview
We are looking for a creative and dependable intern to help with video shooting and content creation for our business. This role is ideal for a student who is interested in videography, digital marketing, social media, content creation, or storytelling and wants hands-on experience creating real-world business content.

The intern will help capture video at job sites, assist with organizing content, contribute ideas for social media, and help us document projects, team activity, and educational topics for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

Responsibilities

• Shoot video content on-site at residential job locations
• Capture behind-the-scenes footage, project progress, team activity, and educational content
• Help organize video files and content for editing and posting
• Assist with brainstorming content ideas for social media
• Work with business leadership and our video editor/social media support team to create useful content
• Help identify strong moments, topics, and stories from day-to-day business activity
• Support content creation for short-form and long-form video

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in videography, social media, digital marketing, communications, or content creation
• Comfortable shooting video with a phone or camera
• Good eye for detail and ability to capture clean, usable footage
• Strong communication skills
• Organized and dependable
• Comfortable visiting job sites and interacting professionally with team members and homeowners
• Basic editing knowledge is a plus, but not required

Compensation
