Marketing Intern

We need a marketing intern who can outwork our full-time team.

Most people can't. That's the filter.

Emergent is the vibe-coding platform people use to build production software without writing code. +$100M ARR. 9M users. 7M apps shipped. Users in 190+ countries. The marketing org that helped get us here is in Bangalore and ships at engineering-org velocity. We're building the SF team to match.

That's the seat you'd be joining. One of the first marketing hires in San Francisco at a company already at scale, working alongside a global team that doesn't slow down. You'll do the work and you'll build the AI tools that scale the work. Both, at the same time.

The norm at most companies is to hire interns to free up the full-time team. The norm here is to hire interns who could be on the full-time team. We're betting that the best marketers in the AI era look more like product engineers than copywriters. You'll be one of the early tests of that bet.

If that sounds like the most exciting job of your life, keep reading. If it sounds like someone else, close this post.

The Role

You'll work directly with the Head of Marketing on every channel that matters: Social, content, community, events, email, partnerships, SEO. You'll write the LinkedIn post, edit the Reels, pitch the creator, show up at the event, reply on Reddit at 11pm, then build the AI app that does it all faster next time.

You'll pick problems no one assigned you. You'll fix things no one noticed were broken. You'll be wrong often, and you'll move on fast.

Who You Are

  • You've shipped something. A side project, a Substack, a YouTube channel, an AI tool, a Discord, a brand for someone you don't work for. You don't wait for permission to build.
  • You're online too much. You know which trends are about to break before they do. You can write a hook that makes people stop scrolling.
  • Your pace makes other people nervous.
  • You'd rather build a system that does the work than do the work.
  • You have taste. You think "that's boring" is a hard critique.
