Veterinary Technician

  • Obtain complete patient histories and perform patient assessments
  • Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
  • Place and maintain intravenous (IV) catheters
  • Perform laboratory diagnostics, including fecal examinations and urinalysis
  • Obtain diagnostic radiographs
  • Prepare patients for surgery and safely induce, intubate, and monitor anesthesia
  • Confidently monitor anesthesia for approximately two surgical patients per surgery day
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Support patient comfort, safety, and recovery throughout hospitalization
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Process prescription refill requests and client callbacks
  • Educate clients and communicate treatment plans alongside the veterinary team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
