Associate Veterinarian
Our clinic is looking to add an associate veterinarian to our team. We’re looking for individuals who enjoy variety in their workday and like getting to know both their patients and the people who care for them. The people who thrive here are collaborative, passionate, and proactive.
Responsibilities include:
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations of animals
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures (e.g., spay/neuter, dental procedures)
Administer vaccinations and prescribe medications
Develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress
Provide preventive care guidance including nutrition, parasite control, and wellness programs
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
Collaborate with veterinary assistants and support staff to deliver efficient patient care
Stay current with veterinary best practices through continuing education
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited program
Active (or ability to obtain) Michigan veterinary license
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment
Commitment to compassionate patient care and client service
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with digital radiology, ultrasound, and/or dental procedures
2+ years of clinical experience in small animal practice (new graduates encoured to apply)
Interest in surgery, internal medicine, preventive medicine, and emergency care
