We are seeking an experienced and seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead a high-risk, complex systems replacement project with multiple workstreams. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is willing to be involved in the day-to-day execution of the project rather than just high-level oversight.

The successful candidate will manage the planning and implementation of the system, coordinate between internal staff and vendors, and ensure delivery through the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Execution & Coordination: Manage day-to-day project activities, coordinate with vendors, consultants, IT staff, and business stakeholders.
• Project Management: Develop and track schedules, manage budgets and expenditures, identify and mitigate risks, and manage scope.
• Stakeholder Management: Develop and present progress reports to senior leadership; maintain effective working relationships with executive management, project sponsors, and technology leads.
• Strategy & Lifecycle: Collaborate with solution architects to incorporate best practices, drive delivery through the full project lifecycle, and facilitate well-ordered transitions to operations.
• Vendor Management: Monitor third-party vendor progress using defined metrics and ensure project deliverables align with organizational governance requirements.
• Technical Facilitation: Lead requirements gathering, technical scoping, estimation, and planning for single or multiple workstreams; facilitate the resolution of both technical and non-technical issues.

Work Arrangement
• Location: Hybrid (Preference for local candidates with a requirement to be on-site 2 days per week).
• Remote Exception: The hiring manager may consider exceptional candidates for fully remote work, provided they demonstrate all required experience clearly on their resume.

 

Required / Desired Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. Required - 10 Years
  • Ability to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, and methods. Required - 10 Years
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models. Required - 10 Years
  • Strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects. Required - 5 Years
  • Ability to understand technology at the level to help represent project team in multiple forums. Required - 10 Years
  • Strong exp leading business & IT resources thru the discovery/documentation of business and technical requirements in request for solution proposals Required - 10 Years
  • Exceptional knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles and practices. Required - 10 Years
  • Active PMP cert (from PMI). (COPY REQUIRED) Required - 10 Years
  • Ability to run scrum, Kanban or waterfall project management best practices. Required - 10 Years
  • Experience in leading large program with multiple workstreams. Required - 5 Years
  • Experience in working vendor and implementing vendor solutions. Required - 5 Years
  • Experience with Data Modernization & Enterprise Data Warehouse Required - 5 Years
  • Expedience with High Category Project management Required - 5 Years
  • Experience managing complex initiatives that may involve RFI, RFP, RFQ etc. Required - 5 Years
  • Experience in managing projects to build, replace and implement Financial Management Systems. Required - 5 Years
