Social Media Intern
Social Media Intern — Farm to People
Company Description:
Farm to People is an online farmers market grocery delivery service specializing in sustainably-sourced, local, fresh produce and artisanally produced foods. Our customers can subscribe to a series of curated Farm Boxes or choose to shop à la carte. We deliver 7 days per week and are expanding in the NYC market. Our mission is to provide an ethical marketplace where people can know where their food is coming from. We are a tight-knit and inclusive team full of passionate foodies.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Full-time or part-time internship, paid
About the role:
We're looking for a Social Media Intern who's passionate about storytelling and gets what makes content feel real instead of polished, and wants hands-on experience at a fast-growing food brand. You'll work closely with our small creative/marketing team to help bring our farms, our food, and our community to life online.
This isn't a coffee-run internship. You'll be making real content, testing real ideas, and seeing what actually performs.
What you'll do:
- Shoot, edit, and post content for social media, including Reels, Stories, and behind-the-scenes farm and kitchen footage
- Help plan and execute social content strategy
- Support community management: replying to comments and DMs in our brand voice
- Track what's working (engagement, saves, shares) and help shape what we make next
- Capture content at occasional on-location shoots at farms, our kitchen, or events
- Assist with photoshoots: help setting up the shots, getting behind the scenes
- Pitch content ideas, trends, and formats worth testing
What we're looking for:
- Experience shooting and editing short-form video
- Comfortable with editing tools like CapCut, Premiere, or similar
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, especially food, farms, or lifestyle content
- Organized and reliable. You follow through on deadlines without needing reminders
- Photography experience
- Genuine interest in food, farming, and the people behind what we eat
- Curious about new tools and proactive about bringing them into your workflow
Logistics:
- Full-time or part-time, depending on availability (part-time roughly 15-20 hours per week)
- Some flexibility on schedule, but occasional weekday availability for shoots is needed
- Paid internship
- This is an in-person internship
How to apply:
Send a cover letter, resume and portfolio or examples of your work to jobs@farmtopeople.com.
