Director Of Operations

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize daily business operations within a fast-paced residential construction and remodeling environment. This strategic leadership role is responsible for improving operational efficiency, overseeing cross-functional teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business and operational activities across multiple departments.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Manage project workflows, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales, design, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor budgets, operational KPIs, and company performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop managers and operational staff.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and scalable business growth.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of operations management experience, ideally within construction, remodeling, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and project oversight skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential construction, remodeling, or general contracting.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling, permitting, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Experience driving process improvement and organizational change.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
