Translator
A Translator is responsible for translating written documents and content from a source language into a target language while maintaining accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency. This role requires excellent language proficiency, strong writing skills, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality translations that meet client or organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate written documents, reports, emails, websites, and other materials between designated languages.
- Ensure translations accurately convey the original meaning, tone, and intent.
- Proofread and edit translated content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency.
- Research industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
- Collaborate with editors, project managers, and clients to clarify translation requirements.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred.
- Native or near-native proficiency in the source and target languages.
- Previous professional translation experience is preferred.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills in both languages.
- Familiarity with translation tools and computer applications.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
