Position: Sales Intern (Aerospace & Manufacturing)

Shift: Flexible, Part-Time (Based on Academic Schedule)
Compensation: $20.75-22.00/hrÂ
1. Job Summary
The Sales Intern supports the Aerospace and Manufacturing Sales team by assisting with business development, customer relations, sales operations, and administrative functions. This internship provides hands-on experience working with customers and cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to the sales process within the aerospace, semiconductor, and manufacturing industries. This position is ideal for students seeking practical experience and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.
2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Support
Assist the sales team with customer quotations, order entry, and follow-up communications.
Support proposal preparation, bids, and customer documentation.
Maintain customer records, pricing lists, and sales reports.
Provide administrative support to the Sales and Management teams.
Market Research & Business Development
Conduct market research to identify prospective customers, competitors, and growth opportunities within the aerospace, semiconductor, and manufacturing industries.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assist with marketing initiatives, trade show preparation, and promotional campaigns.
Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Compliance, EHS, and Logistics teams to ensure efficient order processing and on-time delivery.
Participate in sales and production meetings to better understand customer needs and production capacity.
Support communication between internal departments and customers as needed.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain sales reports, pricing information, and customer documentation.
Ensure accurate data entry and organized recordkeeping.
Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.
3. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Currently enrolled in at least the second year of a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Previous internship or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Basic understanding of sales processes and business development.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to conduct market research and present findings effectively.
Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing, aerospace, supply chain, or production environments is a plus.
Comfortable working with technical information or product specifications, training provided if needed.
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
Interest in pursuing a career in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial sales.
4. Working Conditions
