Maroon is building a relationship-intelligence platform that uses psychology, behavioral data, and AI to help people understand compatibility and make better relationship decisions. We are creating a more thoughtful alternative to swipe-based dating by combining assessments, user behavior, and matchmaking intelligence.

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI & Product Testing Intern to help test Maroon’s product experience, evaluate AI outputs, and improve the quality of our matching and assessment flows. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious about AI, and excited to work closely with a fast-moving startup team.

You will help us understand what is working, what feels confusing, where users drop off, and how our AI-driven product experience can become smarter, clearer, and more useful.

Responsibilities

Test Maroon’s app, onboarding, assessments, profile flows, and matchmaking experience

Identify bugs, confusing UX moments, broken flows, and areas where the product feels unclear

Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, tone, and usefulness

Give structured feedback on compatibility insights, recommendations, and user-facing AI responses

Help create simple testing reports with screenshots, notes, and suggested fixes

Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify patterns in product experience

Work with product, design, and engineering to improve user experience and product quality

Support experiments around matching quality, assessment clarity, and user engagement

Ideal Candidate

Strong attention to detail and ability to notice small product issues

Interest in AI, consumer apps, psychology, dating, relationships, or product development

Comfortable testing apps and giving clear, structured feedback

Basic understanding of AI tools, product testing, QA, user research, or analytics is a plus

Strong written communication skills

Curious, fast-learning, and comfortable working in a startup environment

Nice to Have

Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or other LLM-based products

Experience with product QA, beta testing, user research, or analytics

Familiarity with Notion, Google Sheets, Figma, Linear, Jira, or similar tools

Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or data analysis is a plus, but not required

Internship Structure

This is a 5-week internship. At the end of the internship, we will review performance, quality of feedback, communication, product judgment, and overall team feedback. If feedback is strong, the internship may convert into a longer-term part-time, contract, or full-time role.
