Arts Administration Intern

Piti Theatre Company is offering stipended internship opportunities for students with an interest in gaining hands-on experience by joining a small, creative team. Arts administration interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in fundraising, marketing, and project management with a small touring theatre company who has been creating and touring original productions about contemporary issues since 2004. We also have an active education program, have partnered with a variety of schools in the Pioneer Valley and around New England and the majority of our work has been for family audiences. Current students may be eligible for payment through their Work Study program, or for credit through their college or university.

We believe young people often have undervalued talent. We want to do all we can to help your talents bloom. Our interns help design their own internship to find a middle path between what our organization needs and what they want to learn.

Flexible scheduling– 2 to 20 hours per week, up to you. Also flexible on start and end dates. Sense of humor a big plus.

Regardless of your major, we could use help with things like:

  • Marketing and social media content
  • Event booking
  • Budget and finance support

Here are a few quotes from previous interns:

"My time with Piti Theatre was such a positive learning experience. I came away feeling much more confident in my own abilities and with lots of new skills! [The staff] are truly amazing people, and will help you with anything you want to learn about. They make sure you are at the center, doing things that will actually help you later in your career."

"At Piti Theatre Company, I didn’t feel like just another intern, I felt like part of the team. Early on I was invited to help with everything from shaping marketing messages to connecting with the community, which gave me a real window into how a small arts organization keeps itself going behind the scenes. Seeing that dedication up close made me appreciate just how much work goes into each performance or program."
