Marketing Intern - Fall 2026

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) is a political tech company dedicated to breaking down barriers in fundraising for progressive campaigns and causes. To facilitate that work, GA maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active, left-leaning American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. Our overall mission is to use that data to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.

Job Description:

Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our Marketing and Design team. The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing team while learning new skills and gaining professional experience. 

The Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn about every team at GA, in support of marketing goals and initiatives. The right candidate will have an interest in product marketing, professional social media content creation, and mission-driven progressive causes. 

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing an understanding of the core function and unique selling points of all GA products to inform marketing and sales support 
  • Demonstrating enthusiasm to learn, understand, and get things wrong 

Marketing Administration 

  • Collaborating with marketing team to understand, adopt, and maintain a consistent GA voice
  • Supporting ideation, drafting, and content creation for newsletters and other written marketing materials
  • Researching and organizing our jobs board 
  • Contributing to strategy and results tracking for ad campaigns
  • Contributing to data and metrics tracking for marketing initiatives 
  • Supporting teamwide projects and tasks 

Content Creation and Support 

  • Collaborate with design team to maintain consistent visual identity for GA 
  • Ideate and brainstorm content ideas with the team 
  • Shoot video and take pictures for content across channels
  • Create and edit video, photo, and audio content for social media 
  • Draft captions and copy for content 

Marketing Events Support 

  • Staffing GA events as needed 

Qualifications 

  • Marketing experience and/or coursework preferred
  • Social media experience preferred
  • Video editing experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and be a team player 
  • Curiosity, comfort asking questions, and willingness to be wrong 
  • Campaign experience preferred, interest in political campaigns required

Compensation

The expected pay rate for this position is $20/hour. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in Chinatown at 806 7th St NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. The internship will run from September 8th to November 20th with opportunity to continue based on performance.
