Role Summary & Impact

Paid Search (SEM) is one of the most immediate and data-driven ways to connect brands with consumers. In this entry-level Associate position, you will receive intensive training and close mentorship in all aspects of Paid Search to assist with the delivery and day-to-day management of search engine marketing campaigns for our major clients.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

As an Associate on our Paid Search team, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Keyword Strategy: Developing initial keyword lists based on brand territories for Search Manager review.
  • Data Mining: Running regular search engine reports to discover new keyword opportunities, creative text ad ideas, and monitor pacing/spend.
  • Ad Copywriting: Writing initial drafts of creative text ads based on client briefs, websites, and brand guidelines.
  • Campaign Trafficking: Handling the trafficking, uploading, and quality assurance of keywords using Bid Management Tools.
  • Engine & Platform Integration: Interfacing daily with search engines and platform teams to ensure optimal account performance.
  • Budget Tracking: Managing budget tracking documents, monitoring for under- or over-spending, and alerting your Search Manager of any spend abnormalities.
  • Reporting & Finance: Creating Excel pivot tables, formulas, and charts, and assisting with record-keeping, billing, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Industry Awareness: Staying up to date on search engine trends, algorithm changes, and digital platform updates (AdWords, Bing, SEMrush, etc.).

Skills & Experience

We are looking for curious, motivated, and collaborative early career talent. We encourage you to apply if you bring some or all of the following:

  • A strong interest in search engine marketing (SEM), digital copywriting, or data analysis.
  • Good technical aptitude and eagerness to learn search tools and bid management interfaces.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (specifically pivot tables, basic formulas, and charts) or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Great attention to detail and a high standard for quality assurance.
  • Strong written communication skills (for drafting ad copy and collaborating with partners).
  • Adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, and a drive to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior internship experience in digital marketing, copywriting, business analytics, or search is a plus, but not required!
