Compensation: $20.00 per Hour
Duration: 10–12 Week
Reports To: Office Manager / Operations Manager
Position Summary
Aber Instruments Inc. is seeking a reliable, organized, and motivated Operations & Office Intern to support daily office operations, administrative functions, and business coordination activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in office administration, operational support, logistics coordination, documentation management, and general business operations within a growing scientific technology company.
The intern will work closely with the operations team to help maintain an efficient, professional, and organized work environment while contributing to process improvement initiatives that support long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily office administration and general clerical duties
- Support operational and dispatch coordination activities by tracking assignments, schedules, and communications
- Organize and maintain office files, records, documentation, and shared digital folders
- Assist in creating, updating, and improving internal procedures, process guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Help manage office supplies, inventory organization, and replenishment needs
- Support package preparation, shipping, receiving, and dispatch activities
- Assist with data entry, spreadsheets, operational tracking, and basic reporting
- Help maintain recurring task schedules and administrative records
- Support onboarding preparation and administrative setup for new employees
- Greet visitors and provide general office support when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shared office spaces
- Assist team members with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide general administrative and operational support across departments
Qualifications
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive in completing assigned tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an office, administrative, retail, hospitality, or customer service environment
- Experience using spreadsheets, databases, or organizational software tools
- Familiarity with phone systems, dispatch coordination, or logistics processes
- Interest in business operations, administration, project coordination, or logistics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
