Part-Time Social Media Intern (Virtual)

Summer Internship 10–15 Hours per Week with Potential to Continue Through Fall Semester

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and organized college student to join our team as a Part-Time Marketing & Social Media Intern. This is a virtual internship requiring 10–15 hours per week on a consistent schedule.

 

This position is ideal for a student interested in marketing, communications, branding, digital media, or business who is looking to gain hands-on experience developing and executing social media strategies across multiple brands.

 

Our company manages three distinct brands, each serving a unique target audience. The successful candidate will help develop and execute engaging content while learning how strategic marketing drives brand awareness and customer engagement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar for each of our three brands.
  • Create engaging social media content aligned with each brand's voice, audience, and strategic objectives.
  • Research current social media trends, best practices, and competitor activity.
  • Recommend creative content ideas that increase engagement and brand visibility.
  • Design graphics and social media assets using platforms such as Canva and other digital design tools.
  • Schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms.
  • Monitor comments, direct messages, and inquiries, responding appropriately or escalating when necessary.
  • Track social media analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with marketing research and special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate virtually with company leadership to ensure messaging remains consistent across all brands.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Completed at least one year of college
  • Available to work 10–15 hours per week on a regular, consistent schedule
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a virtual environment
  • Highly motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience creating content using Canva or similar design platforms
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and current trends
  • Knowledge of what drives engagement across different audiences and demographics

  • Experience managing personal, organizational, or business social media accounts
