Research Associate I

Title: Research Associate
Location: Westborough, MA
Pay: $35-43/hr 
Contract: 8+ months 

DESCRIPTION:

The Research Associate I role will provide a supporting role for ongoing research activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide additional support for the extended science team by:

• Formulating and preparing large batches of cell culture media
• Provide support as needed in ordering supplies to support cell culture media preparation
• Provide support in collecting metabolite samples from ongoing lots on a daily basis.
• Collect and prepare cell culture samples for RNA extraction, qPCR, ddPCR and immunostaining on a weekly basis.
• Maintain accurate records and assist team scientists with recording experimental data.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Cellular therapy laboratory experience
• Knowledge of quality control and maintaining accurate batch records
• Knowledge or experience with performing metabolite assays
• Experience with mRNA handling and analysis of qPCR results

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum requirement of BS degree with 1+ years of relevant laboratory experience or
• MS with 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience
