Digital Marketer

Function Summary

The T-Shaped Marketer (Digital Marketing Specialist) plays a critical role in planning, executing, and optimizing integrated digital marketing campaigns that drive measurable client outcomes.

This role requires an AI-first approach to campaign execution, optimization, and decision-making. The T-Shaped Marketer is responsible for managing performance across channels, using data and AI-driven insights to continuously improve results, efficiency, and ROI.

As part of a CMT squad, this role operates within a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Team members are expected to contribute beyond a single discipline, supporting content, strategy, and execution as needed to achieve client goals.

 

Key Roles

1. Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute data-driven marketing campaigns across paid media, SEO, email, and content channels
  • Allocate and manage budgets to maximize performance and ROI
  • Adjust strategies based on performance data, client objectives, and market conditions

2. Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor campaign performance using GA4, CRM dashboards, and analytics tools
  • Use data and AI-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Focus on KPIs that drive business outcomes and eliminate vanity metrics

3. AI & Automation Integration

  • Apply AI and automation in alignment with the AI, Automation & Technology Integration standards defined in this role
  • Integrate CRM, analytics, and campaign platforms to improve efficiency and performance

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with content, design, SEO, and strategy teams to execute integrated marketing efforts
  • Contribute directly to content development to support campaign performance
  • Ensure all marketing activities align with client objectives and overall strategy

5. Certification & Continuous Learning

  • Maintain Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and other relevant certifications
  • Complete ongoing training aligned with performance marketing and campaign execution
  • Stay current on platform updates and evolving best practices

6. Account Management Support

  • Support the CMT Squad Leader in managing client accounts
  • Contribute to reporting, insights, and client communication
  • Participate in client meetings as requested

7. Local SEO and Directory Management

  • Implement and maintain local SEO strategies
  • Ensure accuracy and optimization of business listings across directories and Google Maps

 

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and performance updates
  • Provide clear, data-backed insights and recommendations

Campaign Execution

  • Launch, monitor, and optimize campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and emerging channels
  • Implement targeting, creative testing, and budget adjustments
  • Coordinate with content and design teams for asset development and deployment

Data Analysis & Optimization

  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights
  • Deliver clear reporting tied to KPIs and business outcomes
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve performance

Project & Budget Management

  • Manage multiple digital marketing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet client and agency objectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging marketing platforms and trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Customer Journey Optimization

  • Analyze and improve the customer journey across all digital touchpoints
  • Identify friction points and opportunities to increase conversion rates
  • Align campaigns with funnel strategy and user behavior

Team Contribution

  • Operate as a utility player within the CMT squad, supporting content, strategy, and execution needs as required
  • Contribute to overall team performance, efficiency, and output
  • Support continuous improvement across squad processes and outcomes

 

AI, Automation & Technology Integration 

The T-Shaped Marketer (Digital Marketing Specialist) is expected to operate with an automation-driven approach to digital marketing execution and optimization. Leveraging AI and automation is a core requirement of this role and essential to improving efficiency, insight quality, and client outcomes.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Campaign setup, targeting, creative testing, bidding, and budget allocation
  • Optimize campaigns to improve CTR, conversion rate, CPA, and ROAS
  • Leverage platform-native AI (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and third-party tools to maximize performance

Data Analysis, Insights & Decision-Making

  • Use AI-powered analytics to identify trends, patterns, and performance insights
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Focus on KPIs that drive results and eliminate vanity metrics

Automation of Marketing Systems & Workflows

  • Build and manage automations for email, lead nurturing, CRM, and campaign triggers
  • Automate repetitive tasks such as reporting, segmentation, and adjustments
  • Ensure systems are integrated and operating efficiently across platforms

Customer Journey & Personalization

  • Use AI to analyze and optimize the customer journey across touchpoints
  • Implement personalization across ads, email, landing pages, and content
  • Refine funnel performance using data and predictive insights

Testing, Experimentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Use AI to accelerate A/B testing and creative iteration
  • Test messaging, audiences, and offers at a high velocity
  • Identify and scale winning strategies based on performance data

Adoption of Emerging AI & Marketing Technologies

  • Stay current on AI tools, platform updates, and marketing technologies
  • Test and adopt tools that improve performance, efficiency, and scalability
  • Utilize internal systems including AI agents, CoWork, and automation platforms

Quality Control & Strategic Oversight

  • Apply human judgment and strategic thinking to all AI-assisted outputs
  • Ensure alignment with client goals and business objectives
  • Maintain full ownership of results

 

 

Essential Qualifications 

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on managing campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and emerging platforms like TikTok.
  • Proven experience in performance-driven marketing, budget management, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience in local SEO and directory management, including Google Maps optimization and NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) consistency.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance using GA4, Looker, and other analytics platforms.
  • Ability to identify and act on insights from AI-driven marketing analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in email marketing automation, audience segmentation, and campaign execution.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, ensuring the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.

Education Preferences

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
