Content Creator Intern
Content Creator & Brand Storytelling Intern
About This Opportunity
Featuring The Wine Shop is a boutique natural wine shop in Central Harlem, currently transitioning from a café space. At the same time, its owner Arnyce Foster-Hernandez — a 30-year public sector leader — is building her personal brand ahead of a 2028 run for NYC elected office. This internship weaves both together: you'll create content that builds the wine shop's community presence while simultaneously raising Arnyce's public profile as a Harlem leader and changemaker.
What You'll Be Doing
- Create short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) documenting the wine shop's café-to-wine-shop transformation as an ongoing story arc
- Develop content for wine tastings, behind-the-scenes shop life, and natural wine education — making wine approachable and community-centered
- Build and manage social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn for both the wine shop and Arnyce's personal brand
- Create an 'Arnyce in the Community' content series — capturing her at community events, neighborhood walks, and speaking engagements
- Draft LinkedIn thought leadership posts that highlight Arnyce's professional background, public service history, and vision for Harlem
- Collaborate with community partners (graphic designers, local collaborators) to develop visually cohesive campaign and shop materials
- Support the development of a personal website for Arnyce that establishes her as a community leader and small business owner
- Build a content calendar that coordinates wine shop marketing with community visibility milestones
- Clip and edit video footage of Arnyce speaking for press kits and journalist outreach materials
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Communications, Marketing, Film/Media Production, Digital Media, or related field
- Proficient in short-form video editing tools — CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, brand aesthetics, and community-centered content
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business, nonprofit, cause, or public figure
- Understands the difference between content that gets likes and content that builds a brand
- Self-starter who can shoot, edit, and post with minimal supervision
- Bonus: experience in narrative storytelling, documentary, or brand identity work
- Bonus: familiarity with Harlem culture, the natural wine scene, or local community media
Why This Internship Stands Out
You'll be shaping the public identity of both a Harlem small business and a future political candidate — from the ground floor. This isn't template social media work. It requires narrative instinct, community awareness, and creative vision. If you're passionate about storytelling that matters at the neighborhood level, this is your opportunity.
