Store General Manager — Uptown Cheapskate

We're Uptown Cheapskate, a resale fashion store built around a simple idea: great clothes should get worn more, cost less, and help people feel like themselves. We buy and sell the everyday brands people actually want to wear, from jeans and jackets to shoes, bags, and the pieces that make an outfit feel right.

It's one part style, one part self-expression, one part smarter way to shop. Yes, we keep clothes out of landfills and make good brands more affordable. But the real point is this: we help people get dressed with more confidence, more personality, and less waste.

The Role

We're seeking a hands-on Store General Manager who loves people, fashion, and high-energy retail to lead our team and drive business growth. You'll support associates, maintain visual standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Your main focus will be building a cohesive, supportive team culture that unites diverse strengths, from customer service and floor organization to trend awareness and peer coaching, into one proud, collaborative unit.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the store team through feedback and hands-on support
  • Build a positive culture where people feel included, supported, and accountable
  • Learn each person's strengths and put them in positions to succeed
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and on-brand
  • Oversee sales, buying, staffing, and customer experience day to day
  • Help hire, train, and grow strong team members
  • Partner with leadership on promotions, local marketing, and community events

Compensation

Base salary of $60,000, with bonus potential up to an additional $20,000 based on performance.

Growth Path

This role can grow into a Regional Manager or New Store Operations Manager position as we expand. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the business and help build a store people are proud to work in.
