Administrative Assistant / Entry-Level Paralegal
Position Overview
You will serve as the organizational backbone of our office. In this role, you will coordinate and maintain our daily office operations while balancing front-desk reception duties with foundational legal assistant tasks, offering direct exposure to litigation procedures, client intake, and case management.
Key Responsibilities
- Office Coordination: Answer firm phone lines, greet clients, handle incoming mail, and organize physical/digital files.
- Case Assistance: Assist attorneys with client intake, request medical records, organize case files, presentation of demand letters
- Administrative Support: Draft basic correspondence, oversee office calendars, and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Local & Reliable: Must reside within a commutable distance to White Plains and have reliable transportation to be in the office daily.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written skills, with a professional phone manner.
- Highly Organized: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and an ability to quickly learn legal case management software.
- Prior experience in a law office or a background in legal studies is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates high energy and a strong work ethic.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 / year
