Job Title: Sales Engineering Associate (Part-Time, Remote)

Compensation: $35/hour + performance bonuses
Hours: 10–15 hours/week, flexible around your class schedule (more available over summer)
Location: Fully remote. You'll support customers across San Diego and south Orange County.
Employment type: Part-time, W-2. Ongoing role, not a one-semester internship — we want someone who'll grow with us, ideally through graduation, with a path to full-time.

Renaissance accelerates engineering at innovative Southern California companies by finding the right power, connectivity, display, and compute solutions for products like drones, surgical robots, EVs, and data centers. We succeed when any of our 3,000+ other customers' designs go into production. We're not a traditional sales firm — we invest heavily in AI, software, and digital marketing to find opportunities and serve our engineers better.
We're a small team (8 people) that values curiosity, ownership, and doing right by our customers. You won't be a number here — you'll have a real seat at the table from week one.
What you'll do
- Engage with existing and new customers: Reach out to engineers, buyers, and leadership at San Diego and south Orange County tech companies by phone and email
- Research where we should be expanding sales at existing customers
- Identify new target accounts and build qualified prospect lists in our CRM
- Participate in digital outreach campaigns and help us test new approaches
- Sit in on calls with executives and sales leaders at the manufacturers we represent
- Participate in company strategy meetings and help shape how we go to market
- Support our senior reps on active opportunities
Skills you'll build
No engineering degree required — we'll teach you the technical side. You'll come away knowing how to:
- Run professional sales outreach by phone and email
- Use AI and modern research tools to find and qualify opportunities
- Manage a CRM and a real sales pipeline
- Talk credibly about technology with engineers
- Read a market and help shape go-to-market strategy
We hire for curiosity and drive. Students in EE, CS, business, marketing, communications, or any major are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Available 10–15 hours/week during the school year (flexible around exams)
- Reliable computer and internet
- Sophomores and juniors especially encouraged — we'd love someone who can grow with us over multiple years
