About the Role
We're a growing consumer brand looking for a sharp, curious generalist who likes variety and doesn't want to be boxed into a single lane. This is not just a marketing internship, just a finance internship, or just a sales role — it's all the above. You'll touch our eCommerce channels, marketing engine, wholesale operations, and the numbers behind the business, often in the same day.
It's a lot of surface area, and that's the point. If you learn fast, like switching contexts, and want hands-on experience running real parts of a real business, you'll thrive here. The right person can grow into a full-time role over time, including occasional travel to industry tradeshows (typically once a year — not required at the start).
We're an AI-forward team, and this is an AI-forward role. We don't treat AI as a nice-to-have — we expect it to be central to how you work every day. The ideal candidate already uses AI to think, build, and solve problems, and is eager to push it further. You'll be hands-on setting up and running tools like Claude and its connectors (MCPs) to pull, analyze, and act on real business data — for example, connecting Facebook Ads to analyze spend and performance, then turning that into strategy. We want someone who can own this kind of work end to end: find the right tool, connect it, run the analysis, and deliver the takeaway, with little hand-holding.
If you're skeptical of AI or only use it occasionally, this likely isn't the right fit. If you're the kind of person who reaches for AI first and is excited to figure out what's possible, keep reading.
What You'll Do
AI-Forward Work (core to the role)
- Use AI as your default first tool across every area below — not as an occasional shortcut
- Independently find, set up, and connect AI tools and data sources (e.g., Claude with connectors/MCPs for Facebook Ads, Shopify, and more)
- Run analysis on real business data — ad spend, performance, margins, trends — and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations
- Own AI-supported projects from source to finish: identify the tool, connect it, run the work, and deliver the takeaway with little oversight
- Continuously look for new ways to apply AI to make our marketing, ops, and finance work faster and smarter
eCommerce & Marketplaces
- Manage day-to-day operations across Shopify and Walmart Marketplace
- Support Amazon Seller Central on ad hoc projects and listings
- Manage website projects, updates, and on-site improvements
- Handle Shopify chat / customer inquiries
- Manage Recharge subscription program and customer subscriptions
Marketing & Content
- Own and maintain the content calendar
- Manage social media across our channels (with Independent Contractors creating the content)
- Build and update Klaviyo email/SMS flows and provide ongoing support
- Create sales development and marketing materials
Wholesale & Sales
- Process and fulfill wholesale orders daily
- Support sales efforts and outreach
- Help prepare sales collateral and pitch materials
Finance & Analysis
- Reconcile accounts in QuickBooks
- Run margin analysis and profitability projects
- Pull reporting and surface insights to inform decisions
Who You Are
- An AI power user — you already lean on AI tools daily and are excited to go deeper, set up integrations, and push what's possible
- Resourceful and independent: you can figure out a new tool and get it working without step-by-step instructions
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and switching between marketing, ops, sales, and finance work
- Detail-oriented and reliable, especially with daily fulfillment and account reconciliation
- Strong written communication and basic comfort with numbers/spreadsheets
- Curious about how a whole business runs, not just one function
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar — bonus if you've connected them to data sources or built workflows
- Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, Klaviyo, Recharge, or QuickBooks
- Coursework or experience in business, marketing, finance, or a related field
- Experience in eCommerce, DTC, or consumer products
Why Join
- Real ownership over meaningful parts of the business from day one
- A genuinely AI-forward environment where you're encouraged to use cutting-edge tools, not held back
- Exposure across every function — ideal if you're figuring out what you want to specialize in (or that you don't)
- A flexible schedule that works around your classes — start full-time this summer if you're free, then scale to part-time when school begins in the fall
- Company-sponsored team lunch once a week from local spots (think ChopShop, Sweetgreen, and similar)
- Direct mentorship and a clear path to a potential full-time role
