MarTech AI Operations Intern (Paid)

About the role

We work with leading healthcare and medtech organizations in the US, the kind of clients whose decisions carry real weight. Behind that work sits a martech and AI orchestration stack that has to move fast and not break. This internship sits at the center of it.

This is not a coffee-and-calendars internship. You'll report directly to the AI/Digital Director (with 13+ years of experience at top global agencies and multinational corporations) and work on the systems that drive delivery and revenue operations across our client portfolio. What you build gets used.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain AI-driven workflows that automate multi-step processes across our marketing and delivery stack — routing, extraction, summarization, drafting, with human review where it matters.
  • Pull apart a messy process and come back with a cleaner one: the workflow, the tools, the automation, and a way to measure whether it worked.
  • Own pieces of delivery and revenue operations end-to-end, define the problem, build the solution, track the outcome.
  • Turn data into answers leadership can act on, not another dashboard nobody reads.
  • Move across whatever the work needs: orchestration, ops, analytics, and content systems. You won't stay in one lane.

What makes you right for this

  • You're a rising senior or recent graduate with high AI literacy. You use AI tools daily and can talk concretely about where they work and where they don't.
  • You've built something nobody assigned you. A tool, a workflow, a side project with real output. High agency shows up in what you did when no one was watching.
  • You think in systems and you simplify. Given a tangled process, you see the steps, the data, and the cleanest path through.
  • You're data-driven and analytical. You quantify outcomes — "cut turnaround 40%," not "helped the team."
  • You finish, and you communicate clearly. You don't leave things at 80% or wait to be told what to do next.

Details

  • $20–22/hour, San Diego-based.
  • 3-month internship: July, August, September.
  • Strong path to a full-time technical program/project manager role for the right person.
  • Report directly to the AI/Digital Director.
