Web Developer (Project-Based)

The Cancer Research Foundation (CRF) is seeking a talented student web developer to help redesign and build our public-facing website.

For more than 70 years, CRF has invested in innovative cancer research by funding early-career scientists whose discoveries have gone on to change the future of cancer treatment. We're looking for someone who wants to use their technical skills to support an important mission while building a standout portfolio project.

 

About the Project

We have:

  • A clear vision for the site
  • Existing branding and content
  • Student-created design concepts to build from
  • A development team ready to provide feedback throughout the project

We're looking for someone who can bring that vision to life by creating a modern, engaging, user-friendly website that inspires donors, researchers, and supporters.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement a redesigned website
  • Ensure the site is responsive on desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Optimize page speed and usability
  • Implement basic SEO best practices
  • Integrate donation and contact forms
  • Work collaboratively with the CRF team to refine pages throughout the project
  • Assist with testing prior to launch

 

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

  • WordPress (preferred) or similar CMS
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Responsive web design

Compensation

Competitive project-based compensation, commensurate with experience.
