We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in clinical research. This flexible, PRN contract role is ideal for healthcare professionals, students, or individuals seeking research experience while maintaining other employment, educational commitments, or personal responsibilities.
Position Summary
The Clinical Research Assistant will support research activities on an as-needed basis, including evenings, weekends, and other flexible hours depending on study needs. Responsibilities may include assisting with patient recruitment, conducting phone screenings, collecting study data, performing data entry, and supporting study visits.
This role provides valuable exposure to clinical research and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a growing field without the commitment of a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient recruitment and outreach efforts
- Conduct telephone pre-screenings with potential study participants
- Schedule study visits and maintain participant communication
- Assist research staff during study visits and assessments
- Enter study data into electronic databases and maintain accurate records
- Review medical records to identify potential research participants
- Assist with study-related documentation and filing
- Support participant retention efforts and follow-up communications
- Perform other research-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Preferred
- Interest in healthcare, clinical research, medicine, nursing, psychology, public health, or related fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Comfortable speaking with patients by phone and in person
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
Experience
Previous clinical research experience is not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates. Individuals with experience as medical assistants, nursing assistants, healthcare coordinators, patient care technicians, research assistants, pre-med students, nursing students, public health students, or other healthcare-related backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Schedule
