Legal Assistant / Administrative Assistant

Location: Flushing, New York

About Us

We are a growing law firm based in Flushing, New York, representing businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals in matters involving business transactions, corporate law, commercial real estate, employment law, and civil litigation. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team.

Position Overview

The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and assist with client communications, document preparation, case management, scheduling, and general office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients, courts, government agencies, and third parties
  • Assist attorneys with preparation, organization, and filing of legal documents
  • Manage calendars, appointments, deadlines, and meetings
  • Maintain electronic and physical client files
  • Draft correspondence and routine documents
  • Conduct basic legal and factual research as assigned
  • Support general office administration and client intake

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (current students and recent graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior legal, administrative, or office experience is a plus, but not required
  • Training will be provided

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
  • Interest in legal, business, or professional services careers
