Sales Development Intern

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Intern. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team by generating qualified leads. This role combines research, communication, and strategic outreach to ensure a steady flow of prospects and contributes directly to the company’s growth and market presence.

Our company is a fast growing provider of Final and Last Mile delivery services nationwide.

This position often advance to roles such as Account Executive, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, or Business Development Manager. Success in this role is measured not only by the number of leads generated but also by the quality of leads and contribution to the sales pipeline, laying the foundation for long-term business growth

  • This position is ideal for individuals who are proactive, strategic, and skilled at building relationships with a strong interest in sales and business development.
  • Conduct high-volume prospecting through research, cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach to generate qualified leads
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new sales opportunities by understanding prospective client needs and business challenges.
  • Communicate the company’s value proposition effectively, tailoring messaging to address specific pain points.
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery calls and product demonstrations for Account Executives with key decision-makers.
  • Maintain and update the sales system with accurate lead information and track lead progression
  • Develop and execute targeted outbound campaigns using multi-channel approaches, including phone, email, and social media platforms like LinkedIn
  • Research target accounts to identify key stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers, building comprehensive contact lists
  • Nurture early-stage leads over time, maintaining engagement until they are ready for formal sales conversations
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create and implement lead generation campaigns and monitor metrics to optimize performance
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to identify potential leads and understand market trends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging prospects and building relationships
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales prospecting tools to manage and track lead data
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing strategies, including SEO and social listening, is advantageous
