Practice Operations Manager
Who We Are: Flossophy is a dental partnership organization that owns and operates dental practices and powers them with centralized business operations — human resources, marketing, revenue cycle, finance, and technology — so our teams can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. We partner with doctors who want to own their own practice, giving them the infrastructure of a national platform and a real, structured path to ownership. Built AI-native from day one, we run on intelligent systems that let our people work smarter, move faster, and grow into bigger roles as we expand. We're not building for growth's sake — we're building a modern standard for what a dental organization can be, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us.
Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 a year
Benefits: Health, Dental, 401(k), PTO, Bonus Structure, & Paid Holidays
Duties:
- Revenue cycle & collections — Submit insurance claims daily, post EOBs in Open Dental, and work the Claims Tracker so nothing slips through the cracks. Manage denials and appeals, keep accounts receivable tight, and follow up on patient balances until they're paid.
- Schedule integrity — Keep the schedule verified five days out and confirmed three to five days out across Open Dental, the website, and booking platforms. Build the schedule daily through recall, reactivation, and treatment follow-up, turning open slots into patient care.
- Treatment & case acceptance — Present treatment plans clearly and walk patients through their financing options and the Smiles Savings Plan. Follow up on pending and incomplete treatment, and track case acceptance and conversion.
- Team leadership — Lead the morning huddle, coordinate staff scheduling and PTO, and support onboarding for new team members. Set the standard for Concierge Service and hold the team accountable to it every day.
- Reporting & compliance — Own daily production reports, new-patient statistics, and the monthly KPI dashboard, and lead the recurring denials and A/R meetings. Serve as the practice's OSHA-compliance lead and keep the office to our cleanliness and presentation standards.
We're open to two kinds of people, and we'll meet you where you are:
- A driven recent grad or early-career professional who's organized, coachable, and hungry to learn the business of running a practice — we'll develop you through a structured Office Manager track; or
- An experienced dental/medical front-office, billing, or practice-admin professional ready to step into full ownership of a practice's operations.
Why Flossophy:
- Real growth, not a dead end. Smiles on Enterprise is one of the first practices on a platform built to expand. We develop our people into Office Managers and operational leaders as we grow — your performance, not your tenure, sets your trajectory.
- You'll have real tools. We're AI-native by design: intelligent scheduling, automated patient communication, and revenue-cycle systems that let you operate at a higher level than a traditional office.
- We invest in our team. "People First" isn't a poster on the wall — it's how we hire, develop, and promote.
