Position Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: 3115 Mercer Ave, Bellingham, WA (On-site)
Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM; Fri, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM; Sat by rotation (every 6-7 weeks).

About Woodhouse Laboratories

Woodhouse Laboratories is an infection-control laboratory founded and operated by three WWU graduates. We provide microbiology testing and consulting services to dental, medical, and body art professionals, helping clients ensure their sterilization processes and water quality meet regulatory standards.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Laboratory Technician to support technical operations within our growing lab. This role combines client-facing communication, and hands-on laboratory support.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Support

• Conduct colorimetric presence/absence testing
• Perform heterotrophic plate counts and enzyme substrate methods
• Carry out Gram stain microscopy
• Prepare and maintain culture media
• Interpret and report microbiological test results

Client Support

• Notify clients by phone of expired, failed, or inconclusive test results
• Provide consultation to clients via phone and email
• Provide back-up support to reception for incoming phone calls

Start Date

July 1-15th

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $20/hour
• Paid sick leave: 1 hour per 40 hours worked
