Operations & Growth Specialist
Operations & Growth Specialist
Location: Remote
Experience Level: Entry-level / Recent Graduate
Compensation: Competitive
About the Role
MeritFirst represents some of the best technology companies in the world. We are looking to hire both on behalf of those customers as well as for ourselves. Operations and Growth roles are where the business actually gets built. You'll work on the problems that directly impact revenue, customer experience, and company success. In one day, you might analyze marketing channel performance, optimize a workflow, build a partnership, or solve a customer retention issue.
One assessment. Direct access to the companies you actually want to work for. *Taking the assessment linked above is required in order to be considered.*
Not just any companies - the ones actually building the future. Top startups, industry leaders, the places where you'll do meaningful work. We don't care where you went to school. We care what you can prove you can do. Spend 20-30 minutes, show us your real skills, and get direct introductions to teams that are actively hiring and making an impact. Skip the resume pile. Show them what you've got.
You could be:
- Running paid marketing experiments and measuring ROI
- Analyzing customer data to find growth opportunities
- Building systems that scale operations as the company grows
- Working on partnerships that bring new customers
- Optimizing pricing, packaging, or customer acquisition
- Managing projects that touch multiple teams
What You'll Do
- Own small projects from start to finish (research, execution, measurement)
- Analyze data and use it to make decisions (spreadsheets will be your friend)
- Identify bottlenecks and problems, then design solutions
- Test ideas, measure results, and iterate quickly
- Communicate across teams and get things done without authority
- Learn the business metrics that actually matter
- Help build processes that scale
What We're Looking For
- You're analytical. You like data and you use it to make decisions.
- You're organized and project-oriented. You can take something vague and turn it into a plan.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity. You don't need a 100-page playbook to get started.
- You're resourceful. You figure out how to get things done with what you have.
- You have decent spreadsheet skills (or are willing to learn fast).
- You can communicate clearly. You write decent emails and can explain ideas to different audiences.
- You care about impact. You want to work on things that matter to the business.
Why This Matters
Operations and Growth roles teach you how businesses actually work. You'll understand unit economics, customer acquisition, retention, and the metrics that drive success. If you want to start a company someday or move into leadership, this is the place to learn.
