Position Overview

Salient Strategies is seeking a highly organized, professional, and proactive Executive Assistant to support the firm's CEO and Senior Partner, as well as provide executive-level administrative support to a C-suite leader of a nationally recognized eye health company with more than 95 years of operation.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to executive leadership, public affairs, business development, healthcare, stakeholder engagement, and strategic operations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership on daily operations, scheduling, communications, project coordination, and business development activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly dependable, capable of managing multiple priorities, and comfortable interacting with executives, policymakers, clients, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Manage executive calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination.

Assist with correspondence, communications, and follow-up on behalf of senior leadership.

Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and event scheduling.

Prepare agendas, briefing materials, presentations, and meeting summaries.

Support business development efforts through research, outreach, and relationship management.

Assist with stakeholder engagement activities involving clients, partners, policymakers, and community leaders.

Track action items, project deadlines, and executive priorities.

Conduct background research on policy, business, healthcare, and industry-related topics as needed.

Support executive communications, including drafting professional emails, reports, and correspondence.

Assist with special projects and administrative responsibilities assigned by senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Current undergraduate student, graduate student, recent graduate, or early-career professional.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

Interest in public affairs, government relations, healthcare, business development, nonprofit leadership, or executive management.

Prior administrative, executive support, internship, or office experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule: Flexible hours with hybrid work opportunities available.

Location: Texas-based candidates preferred.

Compensation: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and determined based on experience and availability.
