Marketing & Social Media Intern
Position Overview
The Marketing & Social Media Intern will support the execution of Sidebar Advisors' digital marketing initiatives across multiple channels. This role combines social media management, community outreach, podcast support, and marketing operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently, and interested in learning how a professional services firm builds its brand and audience online.
Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Assist with content planning and scheduling across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Maintain and update the social media content calendar
- Schedule posts using social media management platforms
- Monitor social media performance and compile basic analytics reports
- Research industry trends, content ideas, and engagement opportunities
- Support community engagement efforts as needed
Podcast Guest Outreach
- Research potential podcast guests aligned with Sidebar Advisors' audience
- Assist with outreach to prospective podcast guests via email and LinkedIn
- Maintain outreach tracking documents and follow-up schedules
- Help coordinate guest information and scheduling logistics
Marketing Operations & CRM Support
- Manage and update email opt-out and subscriber lists
- Maintain contact records and assist with CRM data management
- Support database organization and quality control
- Assist with administrative marketing projects as needed
Content & Design Support
- Create simple graphics and social media assets in Canva on occasion
- Assist with content organization and repurposing
- Support marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Current undergraduate student or recent graduate pursuing Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
- Experience using Canva
- Comfortable conducting outreach via email and LinkedIn
Preferred
- Experience managing social media accounts for a student organization, business, or personal brand
- Familiarity with CRM systems or email marketing platforms
- Interest in digital marketing, content creation, communications, or business development
