Quarto Publishing Group USA is part of a global publishing organization with more than 300 employees worldwide. With offices in multiple countries and books published around the globe, Quarto is built on the creativity and talent of its people. We are passionate about producing high-quality illustrated books that inspire and engage readers.
In the U.S., Quarto consists of 14 imprints that develop and publish illustrated books for the North American market, as well as co-editions distributed internationally.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Editorial Intern to join our Fall 2026 Internship Program. This program provides students with the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in book publishing while complementing their academic studies.
Program Details
- Duration: September 2026 – December 2026
- Schedule: Part Time Under 30hrs
- Location: Primarily in-person (Beverly, MA) with some remote flexibility
- Potential Extension: Opportunity to continue into winter/spring semesters
As an Editorial Intern, you will support the editorial team and gain exposure to the full publishing process. Responsibilities may include:
- Copyediting and proofreading manuscripts and page proofs for grammar, style, and clarity
- Creating art logs, book maps, and other organizational tools
- Attending production meetings to observe collaboration across creative teams
- Conducting research for potential book proposals
- Assisting with communication between authors, editors, and designers
- Trafficking manuscripts through various stages of development
- Supporting applications for Library of Congress data
- Maintaining editorial databases and tracking systems
- Assisting with additional editorial or administrative tasks as needed
There may also be opportunities to collaborate with our Marketing and Design teams to gain broader exposure to the publishing process.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program
- Majoring in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills
- Interest in publishing, editing, and illustrated books
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Compensation This is a paid internship opportunity.
