Community Engagement and Outreach Initiative Intern

Project Description: 
 This project will focus on enhancing community engagement and outreach efforts to promote and improve public health outcomes. The intern will work closely with community partners, stakeholders, staff and residents to develop and implement strategies that foster community involvement and address health disparities within our Title V and Healthy Start programs.   

Goals/Objectives of Project:    

• Increase community awareness and participation in Healthy Start events.   
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse communities.   
• Collaborate with community partners to identify and address health disparities.   
• Collect and analyze feedback from community members and staff to inform program improvements.   

Required Skills:   

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.   
• Experience in community outreach or public health initiatives.   
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.   
• Organizational and time management skills.  

Preferred Skills:    

• Background in public health, community engagement, or related fields.   
• Experience with event planning and coordination.   
• Familiarity with health equity principles and practices.   
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis.   
• Experience with program evaluation and improvement implementation
