R&D Project Engineer
Role Summary
We are seeking an early-career R&D Engineer / Project Manager (0–2 years) to support the development and commercialization of high-performance filtration media. This role blends hands-on materials development with strong project ownership and is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with experience gained through internships, co-ops, or lab work.
You will help drive projects from concept through commercialization, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring execution against timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
This role is ideal for an early-career professional (0–2 years of experience), including internships or co-op experience. Candidates with additional relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management (Primary Focus)
• Support and lead end-to-end execution of R&D and product development projects (concept → prototype → scale-up → launch)
• Develop and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
• Identify risks, manage priorities, and help resolve technical and operational challenges
• Prepare project updates, summaries, and presentations for stakeholders
R&D / Technical
• Assist in design and optimization of nonwoven filtration media (air, liquid, HVAC)
• Conduct lab testing, material evaluations, and pilot trials
• Analyze performance metrics (filtration efficiency, pressure drop, durability)
• Support scale-up to full production in partnership with operations
• Maintain organized project and test documentation
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Polymer, or Textile Engineering (or related)
• 0–2 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or lab work strongly valued)
• Strong organizational skills and interest in project management and coordination
• Solid technical foundation in materials, polymers, or filtration concepts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
• Exposure to nonwovens, filtration, or manufacturing environments
• Experience with project tracking tools or structured development processes
• Hands-on experience with lab testing or data analysis
