Glean leader - Seasonal

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinating and leading daily gleans (the gathering of surplus produce from farms and private properties)

Leading and motivating volunteer teams in the field during gleaning events

Transporting and distributing produce to our partner organizations

Weighing and logging produce at glean sites and upon drop-off

Sorting and quality-checking harvested produce before distribution

Packing and loading produce into the van safely and efficiently

Setting up and breaking down glean sites

Performing light data entry to track glean activity and produce yield

Supporting the development of efficient, sustainable systems and processes for field operations

Upholding a culture of respect, trust, and accountability with your team and community partners

 

Responsibilities of all Farm to Pantry Employees

Attend weekly staff meetings on Monday mornings

Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and report generation

Represent organization at community and coalition meetings and events

Aid in the weekly gleans and the distribution of produce to our partner organizations

Vehicle, equipment, and office maintenance

Additional duties as assigned

Assist with annual August Fundraiser
