About the Role
We’re currently looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at Meever USA. Meever USA is a young and rapidly growing company operating in the US construction industry. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience and the chance to grow within a supportive finance department.
In this role, you’ll help keep our financial records accurate and organized, assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, and support month-end reporting and reconciliations. You’ll work closely with the finance team and leadership to make sure our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and accounting systems such as SAP or QuickBooks. If you enjoy problem-solving, staying organized, and being part of a collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries for daily financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems regularly
- Support month-end closing, and year-end audit processes
- Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and expense summaries
- Help track budgets, expenses, and company spending
- Maintain records for fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial regulations
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level experience welcome)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, and similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assisting with month-end close
- Exposure to fixed asset accounting
- CPA track or accounting certification in progress is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment preferred
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position (hybrid in-office/home)
- Monday through Friday
