Position Summary
We are seeking an Real-World Evidence (RWE) & Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Associate to support real-world evidence, health economics, and outcomes research projects for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
This role is appropriate for candidates with training in epidemiology, public health, health economics, outcomes research, biostatistics, health policy, pharmacy, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field. The position may be a strong fit for someone interested in real-world data analysis, observational research, economic modeling, evidence generation, literature reviews, and client-facing research deliverables.
The selected candidate will support projects involving real-world data, claims and EHR analysis, burden-of-illness research, treatment pattern studies, comparative effectiveness research, cost and healthcare resource utilization analyses, budget impact modeling, value evidence, and related HEOR/RWE deliverables.
This is a primarily onsite role, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week. Flexible remote arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Support RWE and HEOR projects for pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare clients using claims, EHR, registry, and other real-world data sources.
- Assist with observational study design, data analysis, treatment pattern research, burden-of-illness studies, comparative effectiveness research, and healthcare cost and utilization analyses.
- Contribute to health economics projects, including cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, and evidence reviews.
- Conduct literature reviews and support the development of reports, presentations, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other client-facing deliverables.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and project teams to develop analytic plans, interpret findings, and communicate results.
- Review project materials for quality and maintain organized documentation to support timely project execution.
Qualifications
- PhD strongly preferred in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health, Health Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, Health Policy, or a related field.
- MPH, MSc, or other relevant master’s degree required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in real-world evidence, health economics and outcomes research, epidemiology, healthcare analytics, pharmaceutical consulting, or a related area.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and at least one analytical tool (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, Stata).
- Familiarity with observational research, healthcare data analysis, epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, or outcomes research.
- Experience with claims, EHR, registry, or other real-world healthcare data is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a consulting environment.
- Interest in healthcare decision-making, pharmaceutical evidence generation, and working with cross-functional teams.
Additional Requirements
- This position may require approximately 10% to 20% travel for client meetings, internal meetings, or business needs.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a consulting environment with shifting priorities and client-driven timelines.
