Quality Control Internship (Document Processes)

Position Summary

Century Martial Arts is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control & Process Improvement Intern to support quality assurance, compliance, document management, and business process improvement initiatives across the organization.

This internship offers hands-on experience in quality control, business operations, process documentation, compliance, continuous improvement, and project coordination. Interns will work alongside professionals in operations, safety, human resources, and administration while contributing to projects that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Key Responsibilities

      Document Review & Quality Checks

  • Review internal documents (policies, procedures, reports, forms) for accuracy, completeness, and consistency 
  • Identify formatting issues, version discrepancies, and missing information 
  • Ensure documents align with company standards, templates, and branding 

      Document Control & Organization

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining document repositories (shared drives, systems, or platforms) 
  • Support version control processes, ensuring the most current documents are properly labeled and accessible 
  • Help archive outdated or duplicate documents 

      Process Support

  • Document existing workflows and procedures for clarity and consistency 
  • Assist in updating and standardizing templates and forms 
  • Support efforts to streamline document-related processes 

     Compliance & Accuracy

  • Verify documents meet internal policies and basic compliance requirements 
  • Flag inconsistencies or risks to supervisors 
  • Assist with internal audits related to documentation 

     Reporting & Tracking

  • Track document updates, corrections, and review status 
  • Maintain logs or trackers for quality control activities 
  • Provide summary updates on progress and findings

Qualifications

      Experience & Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Information Management, Safety, or related field  
  • Interest in quality assurance, compliance, operations, or process improvement
  • Experience through coursework, internships, student organizations, volunteer work, or part-time employment (preferred)

      Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with document management systems or SharePoint
