Community & Legal Advocate
Project Safe is hiring a full-time Legal & Community Advocate for Clarke County.
This position provides direct advocacy and legal systems support to survivors of domestic violence. Responsibilities include safety planning, crisis intervention, court advocacy, assistance with Temporary Protective Orders, referrals to community resources, support during civil and criminal court proceedings, and collaboration with law enforcement, attorneys, Family Violence Intervention Programs, and other community partners.
This role is a good fit for someone with experience or interest in victim services, domestic violence advocacy, legal advocacy, social work, criminal justice, crisis response, case management, or nonprofit direct service. Strong candidates should have good judgment, strong boundaries, strong communication skills, comfort working with people in crisis, and a commitment to survivor-centered, trauma-informed advocacy.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation. Salary range is $46,000 to $52,000 based on experience. MSW or equivalent graduate degree is preferred, and experience working with survivors of domestic violence is strongly preferred.
