Development Coordinator

Development Coordinator

Position Summary

Hope Villages of America seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, special events, and development operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the success of fundraising initiatives through excellent project management, donor stewardship, database administration, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities

Donor & Database Management

  • Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and constituent records within the organization’s CRM/database.
  • Process gifts, pledges, recurring donations, and acknowledgments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generate donor reports, mailing lists, fundraising metrics, and campaign analytics.
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to donor confidentiality standards.
  • Assist with donor prospect research and relationship tracking.

Fundraising & Development Support

  • Coordinate fundraising campaigns, donor appeals, sponsorship efforts, and stewardship activities.
  • Assist with grant tracking, reporting deadlines, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare donor correspondence, thank-you letters, and recognition materials.
  • Support cultivation and stewardship strategies for individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
  • Track campaign progress and assist in meeting fundraising goals.

Event Coordination

  • Support planning and execution of fundraising events, donor receptions, volunteer activities, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Manage event registration, sponsorship fulfillment, guest communications, and logistics.
  • Coordinate event timelines, materials, and volunteer assignments.
  • Assist with post-event reporting, donor follow-up, and data entry.

Administrative & Communications Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Development team.
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, donor visits, and follow-up communications.
  • Draft and proofread development-related communications and marketing materials.
  • Serve as a professional ambassador for Hope Villages of America with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit administration, customer relationship management, or related experience.
  • Experience working with CRM or donor database systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience with donor management platforms such as Raiser’s Edge NXT, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience supporting fundraising events and donor stewardship activities.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices.
