Southside Community Health Services (SCHS) is a full-service, non-profit healthcare clinic dedicated to improving the health of our patients and communities through exceptional care, removing barriers, and promoting healthy lifestyles. We are seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as our Director of Administrative Services and help advance access, operational excellence, and integrated care across our organization.

About the Role

The Director of Administrative Services is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic and operational oversight of administrative functions across SCHS. This role supports efficient, patient-centered access to care while ensuring administrative systems, workflows, and teams contribute to a seamless, integrated healthcare experience across medical, dental, behavioral health, and vision services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for administrative teams, including supervisors and call center operations staff
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance
  • Lead initiatives to improve patient access, appointment availability, scheduling efficiency, and overall patient experience
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics related to access, scheduling, call center performance, and patient satisfaction
  • Partner with clinical leaders to align workflows, scheduling practices, and operational processes with organizational goals
  • Standardize and improve administrative procedures, registration processes, scheduling workflows, and staff training programs
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, payer expectations, and quality standards
  • Oversee IT and facilities vendors to ensure reliable services, operational effectiveness, and alignment with organizational needs
  • Support integrated, whole-person care by promoting coordination across service lines and reducing barriers to care

Qualifications

  • Experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) or community health settings
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent education, training, and experience)
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or administrative services
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving performance outcomes
  • Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic/OCHIN) and access-related reporting tools
  • Experience with call center operations, access, and performance metrics
