Loan Servicing Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist to support post-closing mortgage servicing operations. This role is responsible for borrower support, loan boarding, payment processing, investor reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of loan servicing and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to borrower inquiries and provide post-closing loan support.
- Process borrower payments, loan payoffs, and servicing transactions.
- Contact borrowers regarding first payment information and servicing questions.
- Board loans and maintain accurate servicing records.
- Upload closed loan files to investors and clear purchase-related loan edits.
- Prepare and manage data transfers for loan purchases.
- Process wires and import purchase advice information.
- Perform accounting, reconciliation, and reporting activities to ensure loan accuracy.
- Support audits, oversight activities, and servicing compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and investors to resolve servicing issues and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with borrowers and investors.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous mortgage loan servicing experience is a plus
