Home Care Administrative Intern
Assists the Director in overseeing the daily operations of a home care agency, including coordinating client services, supporting staff scheduling and supervision, maintaining compliance with agency policies and regulations, and contributing to quality assurance initiatives.
Gains hands-on experience in care management, administrative processes, and organizational leadership within a home care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director with day-to-day agency operations and administrative tasks
- Support the coordination of client care plans and service scheduling
- Help manage caregiver schedules, assignments, and attendance tracking
- Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and training activities
- Assist with maintaining client and employee records in compliance with agency policies
- Monitor and support adherence to state and federal home care regulations
- Contribute to quality assurance reviews and client satisfaction initiatives
- Help resolve client and caregiver concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Attend and assist in facilitating team meetings and operational discussions
- Support billing, documentation, and reporting processes as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
- Strong interest in home care, healthcare management, or social services
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15–20 hours per week
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Basic understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
