General Manager

We are searching for a General Manager to join our Kelly's team in Dedham, MA. The GM is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of the restaurant. You will oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house functions, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and an exceptional guest experience. Leading by example, you will drive a culture of accountability and hospitality, and ensure the restaurant consistently operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and direct all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of service
  • Provide strong, hands-on leadership by actively supporting operations during peak business hours
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop, and retain high-performing team members and managers
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability, growth, and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Manage labor, food, and operating costs to achieve profitability goals while maintaining quality standards
  • Analyze financial reports, sales trends, and operational metrics to drive business performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize profitability
  • Oversee inventory management, product ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain proper stock levels and minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements
  • Execute and oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting functions
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for management and staff
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, safety, and overall restaurant appearance
  • Collaborate with leadership to support company initiatives, promotions, and operational goals
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Ensure all restaurant systems, technology, and POS platforms, including Olo, are operating effectively

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in restaurant management, including multi-level leadership responsibility within a high-volume quick service or fast-food environment
  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager preferred
  • Proven track record of operational success, team leadership, and career stability
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, food cost, and P&L performance
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant technology platforms
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
  • Strong commitment to creating a customer-focused culture
  • Current Food Service Sanitation Managers Certification
  • Current Allergen Certification
