Human Resources Intern

Job Title: Human Resources Intern

Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager
Location: Portsmouth, NH (Hybrid/On-site as applicable)

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team with day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience across core HR functions, including onboarding, compliance, HR systems, employee programs, and internal communications. This role is ideal for a motivated student interested in building a foundation in Human Resources within a fast-paced, global organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with HR administrative processes, including employee onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Support the maintenance and documentation of HR policies, procedures, and compliance-related materials (e.g., GDPR awareness)
  • Help develop and update onboarding and training materials, including benefits overviews and compliance training presentations
  • Assist with HRIS data entry, audits, and system training tasks
  • Support internal HR communications and help maintain HR content on internal platforms (e.g., intranet or Confluence pages)
  • Participate in special HR projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a college junior or senior in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Interest in HR processes, employee experience, and workplace culture

THIS ROLE CAN NOT BE FULLY REMOTE. IT IS HYBRID AND REQUIRES- 2 DAYS IN OFFICE.
