Analytical Detection LLC is a research and development start-up specializing in Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS)-based trace detection of explosives and narcotics for aviation and border-checkpoint security. Founded by industry professionals with more than 20 years of combined experience, we operate in a fast-paced environment where innovation and responsiveness drive everything we do.
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated Chemistry and Engineering interns to support our R&D team in developing next-generation trace-detection technology. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to meaningful work at the intersection of analytical chemistry, instrumentation, and security technology.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments under the guidance of senior researchers
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of testing procedures and results
- Analyze experimental data to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and handling procedures
- Provide support across a range of additional laboratory operations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior laboratory experience gained through employment or academic research
- Familiarity with the safe handling of volatile and hazardous chemicals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and visualization

Compensation & Requirements
- Pay Range: $20–$25 per hour
- Must be available a minimum of 24 hours per week
