Deputy Probation Officer I
This is the entry-level classification in the Deputy Probation Officer series. Training scope and progression depend on the employee’s demonstrated mastery of assigned tasks and probation-related materials. Employees work under close supervision, with the expectation that they will advance to the Deputy Probation Officer II level by the end of their first year. Failure to progress may affect their probationary status and/or continued County employment.
